Heard about Self Portrait Marathon from artgirls and thought I'd give it a try:
Actually fun and reminds me of my days in college when we had to do self portraits for a class assignment. I always felt a bit awkward at first...It's interesting because I've kept doing this, drawing my face/expressions over the years. I'm going to pull out some old sketch books and see what I can find. I remember Rembrant would do many, many self portraits exploring color, depth, dark/light, shadow and expression. Of course, this is no where near his work, but it's a fun attempt via photoshop.
