Good reads...

Was reading various blogs and happened upon http://littlestflower.typepad.com/ where she shared her favorite illustrator Jean Baker http://www.jeanniebaker.com/

I must admit this is quite an exciting discovery. I love the illustrations and honestly, I thought they were real. I was like, okay...a window, a person and then I started looking again and realized it was all created by Baker. Amazing. I love the natural lighting and it definitely gives the pieces an intimate feel. Plus, I love that Baker realizes that paintings are visual poems. Oh, that grabbed my heart! : )

Well, I'm off to start the day. I've a serious head cold and yet I have so much to do I can't be bothered with it (except I have a headache and it's really hard to stay focused). Plus, I have an ENT appointment and they're just going to say come back when you're not sick. I just know it. But at least I tried. Tomorrow, I have art classes and at 6:30pm a 4H club meeting to see about volunteering with. Should be interesting. Just wish I wasn't sick. It's funny...when you aren't feeling good it's REALLY hard to have energy to do anything. I even felt negative about doing art stuff but I felt better once I just sat and did it. Also, I realized last night I have a DVD player on the ol computer and don't have to watch endless amounts of kiddie cartoons (Nemo, Pooh, etc). It was driving me MAD. Thankfully, I can play a DVD for me and not be miles away from the kids. I think I'll watch "Midsummer Nights Dream" with Kevin Klein. Basically, that's my only DVD. I'll rent something from the library (after I pay my fine...I'm a bit late with a stack of books...oh, well Library "donation").
