Reading some headlines

I was reading this story about these poor kids of an extremely abusive mother. Apparently, she died and they sent an obit out about her. Their main purpose is to raise awareness of child abuse. I guess I can't understand why a woman would have a child and then abuse them....let alone 8 children. It really does seem to match what I read by Gloria Steinem's Revolution from within depicting a main reason for having children is to recreate an abusive situation the parent went through and didn't resolve these problems.

It seems this was a cathartic action for the kids who went through this ordeal. And a brave one action as well.

If there is ever one way to stop violence or negative patterns, it's to face them, understand the pattern and to work through it. Otherwise, we do repeat crap and get no where.
