Happy New Year!

I hope everyone will have a blessed and Happy New Year!

"If, as Herod, we fill our lives with things ... if we consider ourselves so unimportant that we must fill every moment of our lives with action, when will we have time to make the long slow journey across the desert as did the Magi? Or sit and watch the stars as did the shepherds? Or brood over the coming of the child as did Mary? For each of us, there is a desert to travel. A star to discover. And a being within ourselves to bring to life." -Author Unknown

I'm thinking of this as the January 6th approaches...the day the Magi came and gave gifts to the baby Jesus. It is a reminder, to me, that we, in this time of doubt/reasoning vs. belief, need to set aside these concepts and focus on what is truly important: the blessing of new life and a new year. Regardless of what logic or reasoning the Wise men had, they were curious and felt something compelling them to find out what "it" was.

I hope this year brings realizations of love and happiness to all and with this peace and healing. Raise your cup and remember this is a gift we have, a new year!
